A wild oud that hasn't been polished to please everyone. Andy Tauer, a Swiss perfumer who makes everything by hand, uses a natural oud from Laos here.
The house doesn't build a classic pyramid: everything revolves around a central accord of oud and cypriol, backed by dark vetiver, patchouli, myrrh, cistus and sandalwood. Underneath sit musk, ambergris and a resinous, animalic warmth. It's dark, woody and barely sweet.
It's an eau de parfum, in 50 ml. For you if you want a real oud, raw and long-lasting. One tip: try it before you commit.
