Tauer Perfumes Shadid
Shadid means "intense" in Arabic, and the name doesn't lie. Andy Tauer, a Swiss perfumer who makes everything by hand, imagined it while thinking of a long desert drive, between a huge sky and total silence.
It starts on coriander and a castoreum impression, spicy and a little animalic. The heart blends nagarmotha, luminous, with palisander and animalic musks. The base is warm and smoky: sandalwood, ambergris, vanilla and cedarwood. And no, there's no oud in it, that's on purpose.
It's an extrait de parfum, in 50 ml. For you if you like dark, leathery woods with no compromise.
