Who is responsible
Jan, who publishes Fragist, is responsible for this data. For any question or request, write to Jan@fragist.com.
What we record
When you click an offer, we record the offer you chose, the page the click came from, the site that brought you to Fragist (its domain name only) and the date. We don't record your IP address or anything that could identify you. These statistics tell us which offers are useful.
Price alerts
When you set a price alert, we keep your email address, the perfume, the size and the price you chose. We first send one email to confirm the address is yours; nothing else is sent until you confirm. Your address is used only to tell you when your price is reached, plus the newsletter if you ticked that separate box. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, which stops all emails and alerts. We may use the prices people ask for, without any email address, to understand demand.
Why we may use it (legal basis)
- Price alerts and the newsletter: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the unsubscribe link.
- Click statistics: our legitimate interest in knowing which offers are useful. They contain no personal data.
- Technical logs kept by our host for security: our legitimate interest in keeping the site safe.
How long we keep it
- An address that is never confirmed is anonymised after 30 days.
- A confirmed address is kept while you are subscribed, and anonymised 30 days after you unsubscribe.
- The prices asked for in alerts are kept without any email address, as demand statistics.
- Click statistics are anonymous and kept as statistics.
- Encrypted backups of the database are deleted after 30 days.
Who processes it for us
- Vercel Inc. (United States): hosts the site.
- Supabase Pte. Ltd. (Singapore): hosts the database, on servers in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Resend Inc. (United States): sends the emails.
- GitHub Inc. (United States): keeps the encrypted backups.
Where a provider is outside the European Union, transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Cookies
Fragist sets no advertising cookies or trackers. When you follow a link to a shop, the shop and its affiliate platform may set their own cookies, in particular to credit the order; their privacy policy then applies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of data about you, object to its use, or withdraw your consent. Use the contact above. If you think your rights are not respected, you can complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority (3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, cnil.fr).
