The leather arrives blazing, draped in saffron, for a scent of pomp and opulence. Olibanum frankincense, the perfumer's favourite material, is worked through its freshest, most resinous facets. The result: despite the heat, it all stays surprisingly bright, like a break in the shade on a scorching day.
