Iris, one of perfumery's most precious materials, taken from the root rather than the flower. James Heeley turns it into a refined, discreet floral here, with a slightly literary Dorian Gray air.
It starts on angelica seed and ambrette, gently musky. The heart is powdery and tender: iris absolute, violet and an earthy touch of carrot seed. The base stays calm and silky with ambergris, cedarwood and musk.
