The scent Roja Dove made for himself, having failed to find one he liked. At Roja Parfums, the house Roja Dove founded in Mayfair in 2011, the aim is openly haute perfumery, and this one simply carries the house's name.
Bergamot opens alone, then May rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang take over. The base is a very dressed-up chypre: soft spices, patchouli, oakmoss, cedar, powdery orris, benzoin, vanilla, styrax, labdanum, ambergris and a touch of civet. And yes, there are gold flakes in the bottle.
