A tribute to Sergei Diaghilev, the Ballets Russes man who sent conventions flying. At Roja Parfums, the house Roja Dove founded in Mayfair in 2011, the aim is openly haute perfumery, and the house speaks of a 33-ingredient chypre.
Lemon, bergamot, lime, orange and tarragon open. The heart is opulent: May rose, jasmine, tuberose, ylang-ylang, heliotrope, violet, blackcurrant buds and peach. The base pulls out all the stops: oakmoss, spices, patchouli, vetiver, woods, resins, leather, ambergris and civet.
