Rose Tonnerre, from Frédéric Malle, is a dark, stormy rose. Edouard Fléchier pairs it with a truffle accord he first made for men's fragrances, to evoke a garden at night under a thundery sky.
Rose opens the scent, generous and deep. At the heart, the truffle accord brings an earthy, almost animal side. The base is dark: vetiver, patchouli and castoreum.
