Attaquer le Soleil pays tribute to the Marquis de Sade, no less. It's a creation from the French niche house Etat Libre d'Orange, signed by Quentin Bisch.
The house names just one main note, but what a note: cistus, pushed all the way, as both essential oil and absolute. The perfumer wanted it exposed, in all its states, rather than hidden under vanilla or amber. Woody, floral, resinous and frankly radical.
