Interlude Black Iris Man, from Amouage, is conceived as an 'overpainting' of the original Interlude. A more refined palette smooths its edges into a dark, stoic serenity, with buried power slowly rising to the light.
The opening pairs bergamot, rosemary and violet leaf. The heart is dense: orris, amber, incense, cistus, myrrh and vanilla. The base lays down oud, patchouli, cedar and sandalwood.
