Mancera: where to start? 7 perfumes to discover the house
Woody citrus, tobacco, rose, cherry or sea air: seven Mancera perfumes in different styles to find your first bottle, with their main notes.
Mancera is the house of perfumes you can hear coming. Simple names, bold accords, and a range wide enough for everyone to find their style: citrus, tobacco, rose, vanilla, fruit. The only real problem is knowing which one to try first.
We've done the sorting. Seven perfumes, seven moods, all eau de parfum. The notes we mention are the ones on our product pages, nothing more.
The everyday woody: Cedrat Boise
Released in 2011, Cedrat Boise opens on Sicilian lemon, blackcurrant, bergamot and spices. In the heart, patchouli, jasmine and fruity notes. At the base, cedar, leather, vanilla, white musk, sandalwood and oakmoss. Fresh at first, then woody with a hint of leather. It's the Mancera you can wear every day, all year round. See Cedrat Boise.
The spiced tobacco: Red Tobacco
Red Tobacco (2017) comes in strong: cinnamon, nutmeg, saffron, green apple and frankincense. In the heart, tobacco, patchouli and jasmine. At the base, vanilla, amber, sandalwood, oud and musk. Warm, spicy, generous. For autumn, winter, and the nights you want to be remembered. See Red Tobacco.
The saffron amber: Instant Crush
On our page, Instant Crush (2016) brings together saffron, ginger, bergamot, rose, amber and vanilla. The spices add warmth, the rose and vanilla round it off. A soft, bright perfume that's very easy to love, day or night. See Instant Crush.
The sweet rose: Roses Vanille
Roses Vanille (2011) pairs lemon, rose, vanilla, sugar, white musk and cedar. The lemon lights up the opening, then rose and vanilla take centre stage. A tender, gourmand rose, perfect if you love cosy perfumes. See Roses Vanille.
The cherry: Cherry Cherry
Cherry Cherry opens on bergamot, black cherry and lemon. In the heart, heliotrope, jasmine, iris and patchouli. At the base, white musk and vanilla. A fruity cherry, softened by heliotrope and vanilla, that stays light and cheerful. See Cherry Cherry.
The holiday: French Riviera
French Riviera starts on orange, tangerine, ginger, lemon and pepper. In the heart, marine notes, pine, vetiver, tiare flower and mimosa. At the base, sea salt and white musk. Sunshine, salt on your skin, pine trees by the water. The Mancera for summer. See French Riviera.
The dark one: Black Noir
Black Noir opens on leather and pink pepper. In the heart, tobacco, oud, patchouli and tiare flower. At the base, vanilla, tonka bean, Haitian vetiver and ambergris. Leather, tobacco and wood, with an unexpected floral touch in the middle. For winter evenings. See Black Noir.
